With the recent confirmation of COVID-19 in New Zealand we want to reassure you that MAC Arandell Surface Sanitiser is a suitable product for disinfecting hard surfaces and ‘high touch’ areas (door handles, furnishings, desks, hand rails, taps lifts and alike).

The Journal of Hospital Infection confirms as there is no specific therapies available for the 2019-nCov containment and prevention of the further spread is crucial to stop its transfer.  In its recently published article it reviews 22 studies (including from the World Health Organisation) in order to determine the best method to effectively kill the virus on inanimate surfaces.  It concludes:

“Human corona viruses can remain infectious on inanimate surfaces for up to 9 days. Surface disinfection with 0.1% sodium hypochlorite or 62-71% ethanol significantly reduces corona virus infectivity on surfaces within 1 min exposure time. We expect a similar effect against the SARS-CoV-2.”
